The other day I got a Google alert for my name. Yes, I have Google alerts set up for my name, mostly so I can check out and then scream about press for The Sicilian Inheritance since I REMAIN A MARKETING MONSTER (you’ve all ordered it, right).
Every once in awhile someone named “Joe Piazza” dies and I strangely get their obituary despite the additional “e”, but who said Google alerts were smart.
Anyway I got a Google alert before bedtime the other day that had me hooting and hollering out loud. And also reminded me that the conservative media has no boundaries when it comes to manipulating other people’s words.
The essay came from the New American, a conservative publication sponsored by groups like Turning Point USA, an organization that spends billions to promote the idea of women serving primarily as homemakers and child-rearers and to strip away women’s agency and rights.
So the title of the article was Trad Wives vs. Sad Wives.
Below are some of the key excerpts and I would LOOOOOOVE to hear your thoughts. I also want to point out why this matters. It matters because the New American AND Turning Point have massive influence over many, many young women in our country whether we want to believe it or not. And they are very good at deceptive branding and coercive marketing to entice young women. The left is terrible at both of these things and we are losing young voters at a record pace.
More on all that to come….
