One thing before we get started. In light of the devastating news that the Washington Post has laid off their book review staff and shuttered the books section, I want to remind everyone with a platform, with a voice, with friends they share stuff with, that talking about books and getting them into people’s hands matters more than ever. So at the top of each newsletter I will be adding what I am reading and loving at the moment.

I mentioned this one before but I just dove in for a second time. The Road to Tender Hearts is a quirky and wryly funny road trip novel about dysfunctional families, coming of age late in life and figuring out how we matter in the world. I snort laughed out loud several times.

Now onto the latest in tradwifery, a potential tradwife dating show hosted by disgraced former Bachelor host Chris Harrison.

This is the casting announcement that has been going around. Harrison recently posted it on his Instagram too.

Despite being happily married to Nick Aster and having no interest in a polycule, I still decided to apply to see what would happen. I may have changed a few facts about myself.

All applicants must upload a headshot AND a full body shot. No problem there….I just used some from twenty years ago. I’m so hot. So innocent. Such great boobs.

Here are some of the questions the casting directors asked.

If you are currently working, what is your occupation?

Obviously the answer to this one is: My only job right now is preparing myself to properly serve my future husband. I also work part-time, just for fun in raw milk dairy where I help homeschool the owners’ children. But that is just for funsies.
