Fun news guys. Alexia Delarosa, the possibly satirical tradwife wrote back to schedule an interview with me so we may have our answers about whther she is trolling us or whether she is for real this week. And yes, the one where her son turns “42 months old” does feel like the tell for me.
What we do know is that tradwife-ing agrees with Alexia’s account if you’re thinking in terms of likes and engagement. Her posts prior to portraying a submissive 1950s style sitcom wife got around 80 likes, sometimes a couple hundred. That’s what I get as a fairly regular human author with 19k followers. Her tradwife stuff regularly gets more than 8,000 likes. What does that tell us about how social media wants to see women?
Nothing good in my opinion. I want to understand tradwives better. My goal here isn’t to shit all over them. But I truly want to know the motivation behind seeking a life of submission to a man.
I want to share some of their words here as we launch #Tradwife Week on both Over and Under the Influence. This way we all know what we are dealing with AND we can have a conversation about it. I want ALL of your thoughts and I will be opening up a big thread tomorrow for all paid subscribers.
So what do the tradwives have to say?
