Glynnis took this picture of me in Utah during a road trip ten years ago. I still have these pants and now they fit again.

Last fall, I shared that I was starting on a semaglutide compound (basically Ozempic's cousin who went to a slightly less prestigious medical school). I also chatted about it with Glynnis on Under the Influence.

I promised complete honesty about this experience because raw women's stories are how we ensure we're fully seen in the world. Plus, there's already enough Ozempic coverage out there that is total crap.

The stigma around these medications has started fading remarkably quickly. More people I know are openly admitting they're using it as part of their weight loss and wellness arsenal, which brings me joy. Because let's be honest—watching celebrities claim their bodies transformed through "small lifestyle changes" while the rest of us count 10,000 steps daily and make huffing protein a fulltime job still can't zip our pants is psychological warfare.

I'm putting the detailed stuff behind the paywall because it's about to get very specific and personal. If you want all the details, now's the time to become a full subscriber. Buy EVERYONE IS LYING TO YOU to get a free year subscription—it's like buying yourself a gift and then pretending to be surprised when you open it.
