So this is actually a thing...International Order of Mrs. Roper. One of my friends is involved in our city's local chapter, and it looks like a blast! I may need to go join them...😎
We went on the 80s Cruise a year ago for my 60th birthday (highly recommended). I guess it’s a thing on Cruise ships to dress like Mrs Roper on a certain night. My husband was like wtf, I knew about it but until you experience multiple groups of roving Mrs Ropers you can’t believe it!
We had a Mrs. Roper Romp pub crawl here last summer. I was out of town, but I’m definitely going if it happens again. Everyone wore caftans and curly orange wigs with big sunglasses and ropes of necklaces. It looked very fun!
I personally have had a firm policy for at least a decade that I only wear skirts and dresses from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Summer is routinely in the high 90s into triple digits where I live, so it’s way more comfortable. Plus it’s fun to announce “I don’t wear pants to work” without context and see the looks on people’s faces!
Where does one find the best caftans? I think I need one or many!
I like the Emerson Fry ones - more beach cover up but you could wear them else wear. Pricey but you can find them on Poshmark and sales
Came here to ask the same thing!
Imogene & Willie have my favorite :

All in on Mrs. Roper summer.
Mrs. Roper is my forever style icon.
